    Spiritual Posture & Perspective
    Series: Galatians
The Christian life was never meant to be lived out of the context of a local church. American individualism has been confused with Christian living, and many people have come to misunderstand what a local church is, so the Christian life has been yanked from its rightful context. The result has been an increasing lack of distinction between the world and the Church, unhealthy relationships inside the Church, pseudo-Christian voices affirming all manner of ridiculous things in the name of Christianity, and a growing dissatisfaction felt among those who have ‘tried the whole church thing.’ What is the posture and perspective of a local church? How is the Christian life lived out in such a context? Well, the Bible has something to say about it.

    Walk By The Spirit
    Series: Galatians
Most people will happily acknowledge that Christianity is not a list of do's and don't's. However, many might have a very tough time explaining what the Christian life should actually look like apart from listing a bunch of stuff that a Christian should or should not do. So, what is the Christian life about? How can we tell the difference between someone who is truly a Christian and someone who is not without looking at some checklist of rules? What are the marks of real and authentic Christianity? These questions, and many others, are the subject of this passage. Let's see how God expels our sinful desires and shows us a new way to walk.

    Gospel-centered Worship
Worship has become quite an ambiguous term. It seems that most either assume a definition too broad or too narrow. Worship, the kind that is right and good and faithful, is more precise than most might imagine. Appropriate, biblical worship has a pattern, an order, a context, and a focused end. Simultaneously, biblical worship may be an all-encompassing way of life for every Christian. God has made humanity for His glory, and we may enjoy Him for who He truly is, on His terms, and only by His grace. Gospel-centered Worship is not just something we do; it is the most significant aspect of our mission as a local church.

    Free To Love & Obey
    Series: Galatians
The American truism, "Freedom is not free," may be familiar to most people. However, it might be interesting to know that this concept is also found in the Bible, and it has personal implications. The Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaims genuine and lasting freedom for all sinners who will trust in the person and work of Christ, but this freedom was costly. Additionally, the state of freedom that all Christians enjoy seems to be under constant assault from all angles. The Christian who honestly assesses his or her thoughts, words, and deeds may find that bondage and isolation are both lurking ever so closely. Where may real freedom be enjoyed? How may such freedom be maintained? This is the subject addressed in this passage.

    Bondage & Freedom
    Series: Galatians
If someone asked you if you preferred bondage over freedom, you would probably think it was a joke. The choice is easy in theory. Freedom is something to be cherished and bondage is something we naturally abhor. However, it is quite likely that you choose bondage over freedom every day. When it comes to human acceptance before God, bondage is our natural, default setting. Sinners constantly strive towards freedom, but they do so while wearing the unbreakable chains of bondage. Some sinners deny that the chains are real, and many sinners pretend that they have found a key to unlock them. Still the chains remain, but there is freedom to be enjoyed. The promise of God is to free sinners, and the promise is sure.

    Truth In Love
    Series: Galatians

If all Christians were perfect, then local church communities would be nothing but joy and celebration. One success story after another would echo down the halls of the education building as Christians told how they have benefited and grown from the application of the Gospel to their lives over the previous week. Worship services would always be well attended by the church members, and everyone would arrive early and leave late. None would want to miss the opportunity to greet each person and ask of God's goodness manifested in their lives during recent days. The imaginative dream could continue, but this is likely not a picture of your local church. Christians are sinful, and genuine community is messy; but it is worth it, and everyone should fight for and defend Gospel truth.

    Slaves Or Sons
    Series: Galatians

Christianity is not like any other religion. Sure, there are some similarities, but the fundamental truths and overarching narrative is wholly distinct from anything else. Additionally, the faithful practice of Christianity is something that satisfies deep longings in the human heart, which no other religion even addresses. Genuine love, true identity, transcendent community, and divine adoption are the stuff of a basic Christian worldview. These are some of the elementary concepts of the Christian Faith, and these are some of the most profound needs that remain unsatisfied in many people today. Find satisfaction, joy, and contentment here.

    What Is The Gospel
Is the gospel open for interpretation? It seems that if you ask any ten Christians what the gospel is, you would get 10 different answers. The gospel has been redefined to mean many different things. The meaning of "the gospel" has strayed away from being a declaration of the saving work of Christ to mean just about anything a Christian person wants it to mean. It is no longer a clear, concise announcement in the world. However, the Church may not only know the content and meaning of the Gospel, the Church may also proclaim this good news with certainty and boldness in the world today.

    Promise And Law
    Series: Galatians
The promise of God is that He will give blessing instead of a curse. This promise comes to sinful man, and it is an amazing promise indeed. After this promise, God institutes moral laws, ceremonial laws, and dietary laws. We may struggle to understand how the law is to relate to the promise, but the Apostle Paul seeks to make the relationship plain to us. God's promise to save is vital for sinners who recognize they need a savior, and we may find great instruction here as to how we are now to understand our relationship to God's law as delivered to Moses. Does God hold you responsible for keeping His law? Why did God institute laws like this in the first place? How does Jesus affect your relationship to God's law?
