JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |AN UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER
Our common experiences often leave us with empty and foolish notions of both grace and truth. Grace, it is assumed, is something less than judgment but nothing of genuine expense. It is something everyone is due, but we rarely hear how this might square with some serious offense. Truth, especially in our day, is a wax nose that may be shaped according to preference. The only truly true truth is that there is nothing that is absolutely true in every circumstance. However, Jesus does not play by our modern (or post-modern) rules of social etiquette. He speaks with piercing truth and subduing grace. We may learn much from this unexpected encounter between Jesus and a woman at a well in Sychar."JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | AN UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER ".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |JOY IN THE ONE ABOVE ALL
How can you increase your joy? Well, now... That is a good question. It is also a question that many ask and many answer quite differently. Some say you need more stuff or better experiences; some say you need only to look within. The wise person, however, does not seek to answer the most pressing questions with mere opinion or subjectivity. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself, and there we find His objective word on the matter. In our passage, we meet a man with complete and transcendent joy. We shall investigate the source of his joy and what we may learn from this example. "JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | JOY IN THE ONE ABOVE ALL ".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |THE PROFOUND LOVE OF GOD
The best-known verse of the Bible is likely John 3:16. One major reason for this is the verse’s focus on the love of God. God’s love is wide and selfless, available and welcoming. And yet, it is very likely that the love of God many people think about when they think of this verse is far less profound than the love of God truly explained there. John’s Gospel sets God’s love on spectacular display. In this message, we shall investigate and marvel at the profound love of God."JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | THE PROFOUND LOVE OF GOD ".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |JESUS AND THE SNAKE
The heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is quite a paradox. The King stoops low to serve, the Lord of all pays the debt of the debtor, and the Righteous One shows grace and love for the unrighteous. These are true, profound, and compelling, but there is another Gospel-paradox that is not so widely appreciated or understood. We are told in the Scripture that Jesus was accursed so that sinners may be blessed. Such a concept is unpalatable and offensive when rightly understood, but it is also most glorious and wonderful to those who look to this Savior and believe. JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | THE SAVING WORK OF THE SPIRIT
The hymns we sing, say more than we often realize. Just consider a line from Amazing Grace: “’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved...” God must indeed teach sinners like us to fear Him before He may alleviate those fears. The Bible speaks of salvation in various stages or features. In this message, we shall consider Jesus’ teaching on ‘regeneration.’ What does it mean? Where does it come from? And how does this inspire glory to God?

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | THE UNSETTLING GLORY OF CHRIST
Christianity enjoys quite a bit of comfort and luxury in America today. In addition to this place of plush prestige, Christianity in America is also confidently pragmatic. American Christians have more Bibles, more education, better access to theological teaching, greater facilities, more plentiful resources, and less cultural opposition than most every other Christian in the world today, but they also regularly fail to share the Gospel with a friend, diligently study the Bible, or pray. One major reason for this is a settled comfort with the status quo. In this message, we seek to explore the unsettling glory of Christ and the implications it should have upon us."JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | THE UNSETTLING GLORY OF CHRIST ".

RETHINKING THE CHURCH: BAPTIST DISTINCTIVES | AN ASSEMBLY OF SAINTS
Southern Baptists are historically a people of deep conviction. They tend to have strong feelings about things, and they tend to voice those feelings with boisterous arguments. Over the decades, it has become clear that Southern Baptists have some distinctive marks. One of those distinctives is a Southern Baptist definition of church membership. In this message, we will look at what Southern Baptists have understood the Bible to teach regarding church membership, and we will be challenged to consider our own practices in light of this teaching.

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | THE ROUSING GLORY OF CHRIST
It has often been said that Christianity in America is marked by a low view of God. The biblical convictions that mark genuine Christianity are perceived as unimportant, irrelevant, and outdated among many professing Christians in the Western world. However, this view of God is simply incompatible with the biblical record. If God is anything, He is astonishing, weighty, and glorious. Christ reveals much about God during an unsuspecting wedding party, and we want to marvel at His exceeding glory.

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING
In Southern America today, you’ll likely find many people who think well of Jesus Christ. It seems most people think Jesus stands for socially respectable and admirable things. People will sometimes quote Jesus or cite something He did in order to validate their own ideas about good and right actions. However, the Jesus of popular culture is much safer and more appropriate than the Jesus of the Bible. The biblical Jesus changes everything. He changes what His followers see, what they do, and what they believe. One can hardly have a genuine relationship with Jesus without having their world turned upside-down.
