JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |OH LORD, HELP US SEE & BELIEVE
God has revealed Himself profoundly and compellingly in His word, and this is sometimes overwhelming to us. This is as we should expect. Wouldn’t it be surprising to learn about an infinite, omnipotent, and holy God that never surprised or confounded us? God, by definition, will regularly surprise and confound those who seek to know Him better. In this message, we learn God’s explanation for the reason we encounter unbelief in relation to Christ and the Gospel. With God’s help, we will delve into the mysteries of God’s gracious grace. "JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | OH LORD, HELP US SEE & BELIEVE".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |SUBJECTS OF A SUFFERING KING
There are glorious promises in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The King of glory offers eternal life, present companionship with Himself, and honor from God the Father. But there is also a disturbing paradox among these pleasant words in Scripture. Christ earned these blessings for His followers at the troubling hour of His crucifixion. Christ beckon His disciples to suffering as they follow Him. Christ’s servants become partakers of everlasting life by hating and losing life in this world. In this message, we shall consider this paradox in the Gospel message to those would be subjects of a suffering king. "JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | SUBJECTS OF A SUFFERING KING".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | DECLARING WAR ON THE MESSIAH
Like the Assyrian king who marveled at his own power (Is. 10:5-11), God used the religious leaders of Jerusalem to bring about His purposes of judgment in the world. Only this time, God’s judgment fell upon His own Son. What a profound display we see in the Gospel of Christ! In this message, we shall look to John 11:45-57 and consider the amazing heart of the Gospel message. In and through Jesus’ suffering, God exhausted His own wrath against sinners and gathered into one the Children of God from all peoples."JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | DECLARING WAR ON THE MESSIAH".

JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE |JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION
What a profound and magnificent promise Christ has made to all those who love and trust Him! And, what incredible evidence Christ has given in order to demonstrate His trustworthiness to make good on that promise! Christ has power over death – even His own death – and He has promised to grant everlasting life to those who believe Him. Christ has raised dead men back to life, He has been resurrected Himself (never to die again), and Christ will raise all His people to new and everlasting life in the end. In this message, we shall consider Christ’s miraculous power over death in the resurrection of His friend, Lazarus."JOHN: THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE | JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION ".

Authority is not a particularly good word in our modern western culture. Many people decry the abuses of authority we encounter all around us, and rightfully so. However, the abuse of something good doesn’t make a good thing bad. In this message, we shall complete our series on marks of a healthy church by considering the godly expression of authority in the unique office of pastor or elder. May God help us to understand, to embrace, and to encourage the good application of authority in our lives.WE ARE THE CHURCH | MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | QUALIFIED UNDER-SHEPHERDS

WE ARE THE CHURCH |Marks of a Healthy Church | DESPERATE PRAYER
All Christians know that they should pray, and even non-Christians often find some comfort or significance in prayer. But all prayer is not the same, and prayer is certainly more than good wishes. In fact, Jesus provides a model prayer that gives us great insight and help for our own prayer. In this message, we shall investigate the Lord’s prayer, and we shall take special note of the desperation in prayer that is so common among those who seem to most powerfully enjoy the presence and provision of God. WE ARE THE CHURCH |Marks of a Healthy Church | SELFLESS MISSIONAL INVESTMENT
Jesus unmistakably calls people to die. In His paradoxical call, Christ beckons sinners to lose something lesser in order to gain something greater. The life lived apart from Christ is death unto death. Sinners reap the bitter fruit of their wickedness in this life and in the life to come. But, the life given over to Christ is life unto life. The sinner who dies with Christ shall be raised with Him; and the one who lives on mission with Christ shall reap the savory rewards of a life well lived. In this message, we shall consider this call in light of the Great Commission and our selfless investment in the mission of the local and global church."WE ARE THE CHURCH |Marks of a Healthy Church | SELFLESS MISSIONAL INVESTMENT".

WE ARE THE CHURCH |MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH |AN EXPECTATION OF DISCIPLING
It has become common to describe American Evangelicalism as “easy believism.” This phrase points to the often thin and nebulous beliefs of today’s Evangelicals. Many of those who claim Christianity in America today have little knowledge of biblical teaching and frequently live out of step with a biblical worldview. And yet, Christ has commissioned all Christians everywhere to be about the task of making disciples! In this message, we shall consider this commission and why it is essential to the good health of any local church."WE ARE THE CHURCH | MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | AN EXPECTATION OF DISCIPLING".

WE ARE THE CHURCH: MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | SOWING SEED & BEARING FRUIT
Healthy churches may be marked by many distinguishing features. This message focuses on the essential function of disseminating God’s word and being transformed by it. While many professing Christians in the western world seem to imagine that Christians can often look and talk and live exactly like non- Christians, the Scripture clearly teaches otherwise. May God help us all to be fruitful hearers and prolific distributors of His word."WE ARE THE CHURCH: MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | SOWING SEED & BEARING FRUIT".

WE ARE THE CHURCH: MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | GOSPEL CLARITY
“Gospel” is a word frequently used in our day. Someone might speak of “gospel truth” or sing “gospel music,” and many Evangelical churches are placing a heavy emphasis on “gospel-centered” or “gospel-focused” ministries. However, it is clear that all of this talk about the “gospel” has not done much to proclaim or illuminate the actual content or implications of the Gospel. However, Gospel clarity is an essential mark of a healthy local church. In this message, we shall articulate what the Gospel is, and we shall consider several diagnostic questions to assess whether we (both as individuals and as a church family) are clear on the Gospel. "WE ARE THE CHURCH: MARKS OF A HEALTHY CHURCH | GOSPEL CLARITY".
