Leading ordinary people to
extraordinary life in Christ

New Believer's Class
At FBCD, it is our goal to be a church who comes along side the
family unit and helps to undergird and support the good and godly
things being taught within the home. As part of our effort to
achieve this goal, our children’s department offers a new believer’s
class for elementary aged students. This class is a four week course
which will help a child understand the meaning of baptism, the
ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, some church history, and how to
begin a life of discipleship by developing a daily quiet time of prayer
and reading scripture.
Whether a child is completely confident in his/her decision to follow
the Lord, or if he/she still has lots of questions, this is the class
for them. In a nonthreatening environment, students will be allowed
to ask questions and walk through what it really means to be a
Christian – a true follower of Jesus Christ.
Depending on the immediate need, classes will be offered, once or
twice a year. The classes are held in the upstairs children area at
FBCD on Sundays from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The course is offered free
of charge.
Each participant will be provided a student guide/workbook which
will begin the process of aiding the student to become disciplined to
read the Word of God and prayer. This will be accomplished by having
short workbook assignments for each day of the week.
We look forward to providing this class for your child and family.
